Addicted to dominos

I've been a rubber stamper since I was about 19. (So, about 13 years...) Sometimes I get tired of stamping cards and enjoy stamping on new things or making new things with my stamps. Recently I discovered Ching Chou Kuik's art. I'm not a big fan of "big eye art" if that's what you would call her art. But I do love all things fantasy related and found her art beautiful, feminine, and with bright colors. (How I love bright colors!) Then I discovered her stamps and it was love at first sight. And with my love of stamping and her work it was a match made in heaven! So, for a while I've wanted to try my hand at stamping on dominoes. At first I didn't know whether or not to add color and then I tried my Tombows and it was like I could not add color! I found Ching Chou Kuik's stamps to be very open images and easy to color.
I wanted to focus manly on the faces and put the domino directly onto the stamp. And I'll be honest putting anything onto the domino after the color just blurred the colors. And the colors really take time to put on. And since Tombow are watercolor markers I know it's not permanent and the colors sometimes take 2 or 3 coats. A darker stamp pad works well for the image. I like StazOn as it's made for stamping on other things than just paper and is permanent. One must be careful not to erase the image itself while coloring. I would love to make some of these dominoes into pendants, but I know they are not waterproof and they are mostly keepsakes right now. Enjoy!:)wwwcckuik.com  http://www.sweetpeastamps.com
